Questions about TFC? Here are the answers.
First time at TFC? Here you will find answers about your first visit, training, No-Pro, membership, league play and University Sports.
First visit & open training
Can I come as a beginner?
Yes. Many people come without having played in a club before. We show you the basics and get you to the table quickly.
Do I need a fixed partner?
No. You do not need a fixed partner for open training or the No-Pro.
Do I need to register before my first visit?
You can come spontaneously. If you send us a quick message beforehand, we can look out for you and welcome you straight away. The No-Pro does not require registration.
What happens on my first visit?
You arrive, we briefly show you the clubhouse and then you start playing. If you like, we explain the most important basics along the way.
Does the first visit cost anything?
No. Your first visit to open training is free and without obligation.
Do I need to speak German?
No. English is fine.
Training & club
When do you train?
Open training is Tuesday and Thursday from 7 pm.
Where do you play?
At our clubhouse at Möserstraße 19, 49074 Osnabrück, on the 2nd floor. The entrance is in the courtyard; the directions page shows you exactly how to find it.
Can I just watch at first?
Of course. You can take a look around first. If you want to play, we can also put you into a suitable game straight away.
Do I need to become a member straight away?
No. Get to know the club first. If you want to come regularly afterwards, you can decide at your own pace whether membership is right for you.
League, teams & DTFB
Do I need a DTFB licence for normal training?
No. You do not need a DTFB licence for a first visit or normal training. It only becomes relevant if you want to play official league matches or other competitions that require a licence.
Does a DTFB licence cost extra?
Yes. A DTFB playing licence has an additional cost. Before registering you, we will tell you the current amount.
Does the Osnabrück city league cost extra?
Yes. The Osnabrück city league has an additional fee on top of normal club membership.
Can I simply join the city league?
No. You need to be registered with a team. If you are interested, talk to us at training and we will see which team may suit you and whether there is a place available.
Do I have to play league matches as a TFC member?
No. You can be a member and simply train regularly. League play is optional.
What additional costs can there be besides membership?
If you only train, you do not need a DTFB licence or city-league registration. Additional costs only arise if you take part in official competitions or paid tournaments. We always tell you beforehand what applies.
No-Pro & tournaments
What is the No-Pro?
The No-Pro is our free hobby tournament for beginners, hobby players and anyone who simply wants to play.
When is the No-Pro?
On the first Friday of the month, except public holidays in Lower Saxony. No automatic replacement date.
Do I need to register for the No-Pro?
No. You can simply come by.
How does the No-Pro DYP work?
In the preliminary stage you play at least six rounds with a newly drawn random partner each round. After that, fixed doubles teams continue into a best-of-three knockout stage.
Can active league players take part?
No. Active league players sit out the No-Pro. The tournament is deliberately for hobby players, beginners and non-league players.
University Sports
Is table football offered through University Sports?
Yes. University Sports lets you learn the basics and try them directly at the table.
Where can I find current University Sports dates?
The current course and booking are listed by the official University Sports Osnabrück service.
Can I keep playing at TFC after University Sports?
Yes. If you enjoy the course, you can come to open training or the No-Pro afterwards.
